The Big Election!

Since ive turned 18 ive been really involved with this election i like watching all of the Political broadcasts on the tv. I just want to be certain in what i voted for, i wanted to vote in what i believed in, in what i thought was better for our country. I didn’t want to vote for something because i think i should, or what my parents or the media say and i think i have voted for the right party.

I think Labour is the best party for our country, and for the working class people like my self and my family. When Tony Blair got up and left Brown got left with the shit. I don’t think its fair that everyone is blaming the whole economic crisis on him. I think he is a genuine man, i think he has genuine morals and good ideas. The country started going down hill when the Tories were in power under Thatcher in the 1980′s and i think if the Tories come back into power it will fail even more once again. Cameron says he can make a change but this is the wrong kind of change it will put the recovery and peoples properties at risk. The Tories offer gambles not guarentees. They will cut child tax credits and childs trust funds whilst at the same time giving an inherentance give away of £200,000 to the most well of states in the country.

The Labour party pledge to rebuild our econumy, reform and protect our public services and renew our politics.

This is all i have to say for now

Well just have to wait untill tomorrow to find out who is in power.. !!

Horror scary or not…?

I love Horror films, it’s my favourite kind of film genre. I love the fact the film could scare me. But this very rarely happens I was really excited when the film Paranormal activity come out. It was so hyped up in the cinema. The trailer made the film looks absolutely terrifying, it seems even more scary when it shows the people reactions to the film instead of parts of the film it’s self. Anyway.. I was expecting to be scared for once, but no I didn’t think this film was scary in the slightest. The story line is scary but only if it is happening to you. For someone watching the couples life and there problems I found it wasn’t scary. But saying this a couple of my friends found the film really scary and got really freaked out after. I agree with Mark Kamode how can people be scared after they have watched a film? Its only a film. I don’t think I have ever watched a film that has scared me, some have made me jump but none actually scare me. I cannot wait for the day a film manages to do this.

What makes a horror a horror and a thriller a thriller?

This is what i don’t understand. I go to Block Buster’s to find a ‘scary’ film. I look at the back of the DVD box and it says intense horror, fantasy thriller, horror/thriller but what is the difference. I no horrors are supposed to be horrific and thrillers and supposed to thrill you but I don’t think this is the case as I think that thrillers are sometimes confused with horrors and vice versa.

Life..?

Ive just come back from the cinema I watched new film called The Box. It was really good actually. But for some reason now im thinking about life. I don’t have a clue what uni or what job i want to end up with. I feel like i have so much to do in so little time. I want to become a  radio presenter or a fashion photographer. But what are the steps to achieve this? I want to go to Brighton or Dublin uni but how do I get the grades needed for these?.. This has what has got me thinking. To pursue a career in something that i REALLY want to do I need to challange myself and yes it will be hard and yes i will want to quit but in the end it will all be worth will. i also have realised that i slack, and i no that im not giving certain things my 100% which i need to start doing because if not i will fail. im going to Kenya but to get there i need to raise £3000 now this is the time when i really need to start thinking how am i going to do this? i have lots of ideas but havent got around to doing them yet..! this isnt good. i need to do this and if i cant i will fail myself by not taking up this offer of once in a life time. i need to start getting my butt into gear! and hopefully if i put 100% into everything i do i will be able to live a life i want. not what i have to!

Adaptions… Good or Not?

There are many books, comics and video games that are made into films. Some are good, and carry on the enjoyment from the way it was first seen. But some are so awful that it totally ruins them. My top Adaption has got to be Twlight and New Moon. These films are brilliant, and are just as good as reading the book. I like the fact that in the film you can really see how you imagined Edward and Bella in the novels. The film is just like the books in the same order and nothing has been changed except from in the books it says that Edward has a Silver Volvo but in the films he has a black one. This is the only real difference. There are also many other great adaptions like Harry Potter, I must admit that I have only seen the first 3 but I have read all the books. The movies are really made well, they show every crucial part that is in the book, and once again the characters are just like how you would imagine in the books, especially Harry. I really like the novel Lovely Bones and that is coming out in the cinemas on the 29th of January 2010, I think this will be really good and I’m really excited. If it is as good as the book, and nothing vital is missed out it will definatly be a box office hit!

There are many ones that are not so good though. I didn’t like the Tomb Raider films with Lara Croft, Fair enough she does look like the character in the game but, the game is so much better! There isn’t many others I can think of which I don’t Actually like. But there are talk about Call of Duty becoming a film. I love this game with a passion, but if it gets put into a film it will be BAD! It will just be like a typical war movie which I’m not really into. But saying that when it does come out I will go and watch it to make a judgment on it!

I had a Brilliant weekend. Went to Amadeus on Friday, Maidstone Saturday, Pizza Hut and Rochester Sunday..!

Went and watch ‘Law Abiding Citzen’ it was awsome! so good!… Look at my Review on my ‘Film Review page’ :p

On Wednesday going to see Paranormal Activity..!.. should be good, the Trailer looks proper scary though..! I haven’t seen a film that has given me a thrill and really scared me since i was around 5!.. So i’m hoping this one will!

And OMG its the 1st of December!… ? Only 24 more sleeps until Christmas is here!,,   Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Didn’t do much weekend!.. Watched X-Factor… Watched Austin Powers- ‘The Spy Who Shagged Me’ sooo Funny..

On Tuesday I am going to to watch Jenfiers Body, the new block buster with Megan Fox.. the tralier makes the film look really exciting… but I will have to decide this myself on Tuesday..!
